Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a simple way to compare certain edits? With Snapshots, you can freeze a point and time when photo editing so you can always get back to it. Snapshots are the perfect solution for comparing different edits or photo effects like color versus black and white. This new feature is coming in the next free update to ON1 Photo RAW 2022, the ultimate raw processor and photo editing software.

This looks like a tool I will use a lot when I’m not sure of what I like best. Great job in creating it!

Thanks, I really like this…versions always seemed like overkill for this sort of quick test and I often got confused about which effects went together when I just turned on and off effects to compare different editing sequences. What would be really cool is if you could use a comparison sliding bar (like in NoNoise) to be able to compare on snapshot vs another.

I’m wondering how you position this feature versus Versions. They are essentially the same, correct? Temporary “saves” instead of a “stored” version? Any speed differences or file size considerations?
Thanks, Michael

When you went to the “retouching” snapshot (before crop), the crop was still applied. Is that the intended behavior?

Very useful, can a snapshot be deleted from the created list?

Snapshots seems to be useful.
Can you explain how to get back to a previous edit, and make changes? Having trouble finding where to do this?

Snapshots will be a great addition to the currect history function. Particularly with the auto save after each edit session.
