Don, my head is about to explode after all the ideas and techniques you shared. I’ve always wanted to do this sort of photography, staging shots, especially-macro. I’ve always enjoyed macro, but this is a whole different level. This gives me a lot of great ideas to work toward. Thanks.

I only was aware of this video a month after it was posted but from what I can tell, I am on the correct track for practicing. Thank you Don for providing ideas. I happen to have two high resolution cameras and one of them is an infrared camera. I have been exploring what I can do with close-up IR photography because it seems rather difficult to go past 1:2 macro without getting muddy images. So I switched to cropping images that are only close-up. Still it is a fun world to explore and I’m definitely learning from all my mistakes. 🙂
Just yesterday, I started to practice focus stacking with pixel shift images with my “normal” light high resolution camera. I will need to learn more about ON1 because Lightroom was not as sharp as it was with Capture One for the exact image that I focus stacked. Great video and it does help me continue to test my What If capabilities. Again thank you.

Don, it was good to see you again extolling the small world. You presented so many interesting examples of the almost invisible world. I didn’t know that I can do photo stacking in ON1. This is good to know as I’ve run into problems with Helicon Focus. My final images all of a sudden have a watermark though I have an activation key. I enjoyed your presentation very much, and it brought fond memories from the Arcanum days.
