To crop an image, select the Crop tool from the Tool well. If desired, select any preset crop ratio you would like to use from the Options bar; the default is Freeform, which lets you crop in whatever size or ratio you would like. Adjust the corner handles of the crop tool overlay to get the area you wish. (The area outside the crop box appears darkened for guidance.) You can resize and move the image inside the crop box. When you are satisfied with your settings, press the Apply button in the Options bar or press Enter.

I am having to edit a large number of images to a 9″ x 11″ format and wish I could set the ration in the crop tool to 9 x 11 just like in Photoshop. Having to do it in Freeform is way too tedious, unless there is a way to do it that I do not know of, which I would be thrilled to learn. And I want it as part of the crop tool, not export or print.
Thanks,

First time user here soo I apologize in advance if this seems basic. My crop and transform tools are grayed out when I first open an image in ON1 Effects 2023. Any guesses as to why this might be? TIA

If you are opening Effects from a host application like Photoshop, those tools will not be enabled. Since both crop and transform are in those apps, it would conflict and so the tools are disabled in ON1 Effects. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to see the cropped dimensions of an edit without having to create a jpg?
