Hi Dylan
Nice to see such a clear explanation of Raw Processing inside of PR. 🙂
Looking forward to the next video, and hoping that you will also show us how to deal with more difficult images, i.e., those shot under difficult conditions, such as sun sets, and nighttime.

Dylan ~ Great video for a refresher plus new work flow tips!! Thanks for your “patient” style on a topic that may be sort of old hat for you. I have been out of commission for a while and this certainly brought me back to the foundation to go with 2025. Thank You!! Look forward to more.

Around time mark 10:15 as you’re pulling down the Highlights slider intending to treat the example blown out clouds, why do the shadow areas of the fence and grass raise up? I don’t remember this combined result in earlier versions of ON1 PR.

Does it make a difference which order the adjustments are done? I’m specifically concerned with “Tone & Color” vs. “Noise & Sharpening”.
Next up, is where, in this process is it most effective to Crop the image?
Finally, when should I Resize an Image?
Thanks so much!

Personally I leave re-sizing, vignettes and othe ‘final’ processes to the very end – you can always crop down, but cropping up to the original image is not possible.

love all the bells and whistles but need more details on the file management, how the edits are saved, if i want to come back to an image later where those edits are just the basics…still use the program but want to be clear if i am doing correctly

A critical point was omitted from this tutorial…manipulation or interpretation of the actual raw file. Is this what is in fact going on? Most raw files look rather bland if they are read or interpreted correctly at the outset. ON’s interpretation appears to be some processing right at the outset. What raw processor is being used here? Is it proprietary software owned by ON1? or the camera manufacturer’s. Some explanation is required here so we can all understand why different software companies use different methods for interpreting raw files.

Why did yo not just go to AI Brilliance ?
Was this just to show how to do it step by step because the end result would have been the same .
