I’ve been travelling a ton this spring for photography workshops, and I think I’ve finally perfected my road file management system. The method I’m using incrementally backs up all of my work on a big slow external hard drive with the press of a button each evening. This allows me to keep my images and all my culling and edits safe in two locations while on the road. I’ll show you how I work this backup strategy into my ON1 Photo RAW 2023 workflow. Along the way, I’ll highlight some ways I optimize Photo RAW’s performance settings, use ON1’s import dialog to rename and copy protect my files and do a full start to finish RAW edit of one of my favorite images from last month’s Charleston workshop.
