I like that immensely…. I cut and paste often. Taking race cars out of my captures and working on them to create more for the drivers. This education will make those jobs easier for sure.

I really appreciate your video trainings. Can I ask a favor? I’m new to On 1 and need you to define exactly what you are clicking on, right or left click of mouse and go slower showing the area chosen. Don’t say ” select it”. Say right click on this. Thanks

Ouch. Really? The background selected for the second image really detracted from the subject (judgement call). That aside, I’m not sure why you kept making new masks each time for the flower image after you created the first mask. Copy/paste is easier and more consistent. The last image selection was terrible and the mask needed refinement. There was haloing around the subject’s body as well as poor selection in areas of the hair. Great concept video though it’s worth the time to do things right.

nice easy to follow tutorial with remarkable results, OK fairly easy backgrounds but very inspirational. ON1 is just getting better and better.

I have been using the Super Select tool, to cut out subjects. I seems to automatically apply a halo free softened edge which blends in well with backgrounds.
Super Select does seem to have issues with fine details such as hair. But the other masking tools can then be used to refine the selection.
I suspect that for these sorts of videos/adverts, ON1 wants to emphasise speed. Which means that ON1 is under selling quality. i.e., in the drive to show how quickly PR can work, they often forget to go back and refine the masks. Which is a pity, as the refining tools are also relatively quick and easy to use.
