Thank you Dan for this class, it was very useful, and you answered several of my questions too! Even after having the prg for some years now, I always learn new things! Best from Uruguay.

Dylan – Well done video. Question for you, some video ago you were demonstrating a mask that you lowered the image’s intensity so you could see where to paint or erase around an area in the image. How did you accomplish that?
On November 27, 2023 at 2:31 pm Dylan Kotecki replied:
Thanks for watching Russel! You can modify the density in the masking tab of the properties dialog – this opens automatically when you open a filter or adjustment. The masking tab is in the middle.

Almost every time I receive an email from ON1 it’s to offer something else for me to buy. Can’t you just stop constantly trying to increase profits? Instead of all those annoying hard-to-follow instructional videos (at a cost) can’t you offer a comprehensive PRINTED user manual for purchase?
On December 5, 2023 at 1:07 pm Ken Smith replied:
You are right Marshall. However, I look at it as offering me more tools to enhance my workflow or simplify an alternative process I may be using.
If I’m not interested I delete it. Better to have that option than to miss an opportunity.
As far as the manual is concerned, I too work better with a hard copy on my desk. I am looking into self publishing websites as a means of printing an affordable copy. Getting an Instant Print facility, like Staples, brings the cost to more than $100. I’m with you and if I find an affordable self publishing website I’ll let you know,

Hey Dylan;
While On1 continues to get more & more features & programs, I have one bit of, what I hope will be considered, constructive criticism. With all the new features it gets pretty difficult to follow along with your small, plain, featureless moving arrow/pointer in the instructional videos. How about a new updated style & size to match some of the other great features in On1?
Thanks & have a good one.
Capt Jim

Thanks for the feedback Jim! I agree it needs to be updated – I’ll get on that for the next video so it’s easier to follow along in the application 🙂

Dylan,
In my earlier days using On1, I saved many presets. Not knowing exactly what I was doing, I saved not only the effects, but the develop settings. Is there a way I can get into a preset, and delete the develop settings, leaving only the effects settings?
Thanks,
Al

i believe thats covered in the vid?
On November 27, 2023 at 2:34 pm Dylan Kotecki replied:
Hey Alfred!
When saving a preset, a dialog will popup that has options to adjust – is says Save Preset at the top. Below the naming section there are settings such as Crop and Level, Develop, etc. To discard Develop settings, disable the Develop option.
