Say goodbye to editing limitations with ON1 Photo RAW 2025’s enhanced Generative Eraser tool! We’ve introduced a new non-generative AI model designed for systems with lower-end GPUs, delivering pro-level results faster. Effortlessly erase distracting elements while preserving realistic textures, depth of field, and details.

The enhanced Generative Eraser tool is perhaps the most awesome introduced in ON1 Photo RAW 2025! This photo software just keeps getting more superb with its many A.I.-driven enhancements! Kudos to ON1!

That Local Gen AI removed the people in the background but deformed the back of the man’s head and the woman’s hand. Maybe make a copy of the layer, do the AI thing and then mask away the deformed parts.
AI can be very helpful but you still have to be very careful and check your image. Things can go a little wacky quickly.
I sure as time goes on, this will be less of an issue.

looks interesting but it would be nice if we could use a pen tool around the couple and tell eraser to mork in a certain zone. Like any tool in the past, I have bad experience that “selection automatic system” doesn’t make the job and, compared to photoshop, sometimes PR doesn’t have tools to help the automatic system

In all your examples you provide where Generative AI is removing something, the parts to remove are blurred and the newly created parts are then blurred as well. Generative AI does not provide any successful results on sharp content. The result is always blurred.

I’ve been using a 27″ iMac since 2017. Using”Local Gen AI” to extend the canvas with the crop tool, does not work! It results in an unusable image!
