Check out this video of the enhanced Quick Mask AI tool in ON1 Photo RAW 2024.5, perfect for background replacements. Dan Harlacher walks through three examples, from simple to complex. First, he replaces a dull background in a bird photo, enhancing it with noise reduction, sharpening, and brightness adjustments. Next, he blends a new background into a studio shot, maintaining shadows and depth by adjusting mask opacity. Finally, he tackles a more challenging replacement in a photo with a bright background, addressing color reflections with local adjustments.

I realize that the speed you execute a step at is to show how ‘easy’ it is to do a particular step BUT, for those of us who are watching on something other than a flat screen TV, or are new to the program, it would be helpful if you would:
1. Change your cursor color and size to make it easier to follow where you are tracking for the .1 second that you are on a particular button, and
2. Hover over the button you are pressing for more than .1 second. Perhaps giving a brief description of the function, or range of functions, of the button, while you are waiting for us to catch up.
Thank you.

I hear you… and It usually is overly quick on the “previews” especially….
and I usually dont bother trying to watch them on my phone or TV…. as you would have to be close enough to it and make it ” full screen” as if you were viewing a monitor…. and it would even depend on the colour caspability of your tv… “true whites” and “true blacks” and just how good the colours are Adobe RGB etc and the light reflected onto your set….
mine still doesnt cut it compared to my monitor or laptop screen (and I’ll still wait to go the propper monitor..it no rush).
In any regard I cant actually “try” the new features til I get my hands on it later this month… then I can step back through the video while I’m playing with it in another window.
and there will be more training ..(including others like Free Will) on yourtube plus an updated Manual.
If you don’t own it yet, you will be able to get a trial copy then…. if you do (like me) then you will be able to enjoy the update. 😉

So I noticed when you select the Quick Mask Brush to mask an object in the photo you have a paint bucket with a plus or minus. I have a cross hair with a very small plus or minus. I do I get the paint bucket? This appears easier to see on the photo.
