Let’s see your absolute best image of this past summer! — Wait a second, no we haven’t forgotten our friends in the Southern Hemisphere. Just put “your summer is our winter” in the submission description. My friends at Blackrapid have offered to provide the overall winner with a Sport Breathe strap as well as Cross Shot Breathe straps for the second and third place winners. First place will also receive $150 in cash, while second gets $100. Laurie Excell and I will select the winning images as well as some runners up to showcase in a Long Exposure Challenge video at month’s end. Below are the rules, how to enter and some tips on what we are looking for from both of us.
Blake and I asked you in the Plus to community to give us a photo challenge and you responded by sending us out to photograph the streets of our own cities in no more than 24 frames. It was a tough challenge for a couple of photographers like us who normally photograph landscapes, wildlife and outdoor adventure. It took me back to the days when I did travel photography articles with film. That’s looking back a long ways now…
This month the challenge was the reverse kind and the Plus community had some awesome ideas! Hudson and I went out and photographed our respective cities in the typical Street Photography style! Here is my take on the challenge… and thank you for an actual challenge!
We asked you in the Plus community to choose a reverse photo challenge mission for Blake and I this month and we were blown away by how many great suggestions you came back with. Again and again we heard a couple of themes pop up. Lots of you wanted to see us work with a limited number of frames. Still another group wanted us to focus on street or city photography. Blake and I got together and decided to combine these two great ideas into the City & Street in 24 Frames Reverse Photo Challenge.
